Small Engine Performance PCR ex TEKA endurance gokart powered by twin Honda GX200 engines.The retired TEKA kart has been converted to be used as an offroad dirt kart to develop & test more products. The PCR will also be fitted with 2 Briggs & Stratton Animals to also test components For Briggs & Stratton Animal & Briggs & Stratton World Formula Engines
The 6 inch front & rear tyres give additional ground clearance for off road go karts, The gearing has also been changed as the dirt track requires faster acceleration & doesnt have the same top end speed as bitumen racing. Handling on a dirt can also be improved by narrowing the rear track & making the kart not as ridged as is required on bitumen tracks. A bitumen kart is designed to transfer weight by lifting the inside rear tyre to get maximum drive where a dirt kart lifts the inside front wheel to give more drive to the rear tyres.
Briggs & Stratton Animal powered off road dirt gokart. This retired bitumen gokart has had a 6 inch rim conversion & due to the torque of the 4 stroke required internal slugs be pressed into the chassis rails as the rear axle supports on the chassis were flexing & the kart was throwing the chain when cornering
The extra length can be seen between the single engine gokart compared to the twin engine go kart. The PCR endurance gokart also runs a wider rear track & hydraulic rear brakes
